What is a signal cluster (confluence)?

A signal cluster is a scored event that fires when several independent signals converge on the same asset in a short window — for example insider buying, institutional accumulation, and a positive 8-K all landing on one company.

How to read the direction

A cluster inherits the shared direction of its members: several bullish signals converging lean strongly bullish, several bearish ones strongly bearish. Confluence is weighted higher than any single input because independent signals agreeing is harder to dismiss as noise.

Why confluence beats any single signal

Any one signal can be a false positive. When several independent sources — an insider cluster buy, a new 13F position, heavy volume, and a positive news signal — line up on the same name at the same time, the combined read is far more reliable than any of them alone.

How clusters are built

The platform groups recent signals by asset and direction and surfaces the cases where multiple signal types agree in a short window. The cluster becomes its own high-priority signal and is the kind of event most likely to lead a daily digest.

Frequently asked

What makes a cluster stronger than one signal?
Independence. Insider filings, institutional filings, price, volume, and news are largely separate data sources. When they agree, the odds that all of them are simultaneously wrong are much lower — so confluence is weighted higher.
Do clusters have to be bullish?
No. A bearish cluster — insider cluster selling plus a delisting 8-K plus a fundamental deterioration — is just as meaningful a warning as a bullish cluster is a green flag.
