Valero Energy Corp (VLO) is a leading American-based fuels producer, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. The company is engaged in the manufacture and marketing of transportation fuels and other petrochemical products. Valero operates through three main business segments: Refining, Ethanol, and Renewable Diesel. It owns and operates 15 refineries with a combined throughput capacity of approximately 3.2 million barrels per day, 12 ethanol plants with a combined production capacity of 1.6 billion gallons annually, and two renewable diesel plants capable of producing 1.2 billion gallons per year. Valero is one of the largest independent refiners in the United States, with significant operations in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., and is also a major producer of corn ethanol and renewable diesel.
